EARLY CHRISTMAS THOUGHTS

WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS MEAN TO YOU?

Countless times we've been told that Christmas, Children and Love are inseparable.
CHRISTMAS being the ultimate God's rescue plan to save humanity.
CHILDREN being a call for us to go back to simpler things in life.
And LOVE being that self-less kind of love.

Pictures here were taken sometime in August.
Every week there's a group that visits the less-fortunate kids
and give them a little Bible story,
something to eat and a hug if they need one.

You know that feeling when a little one looks at you
straight in the eye telling you things that are not sugar coated or anything?
That if you ask who JESUS is, they have the most sincere,
and oftentimes heart warming answer?

As I continue to tick my keyboard to finish this blog post,
I'm thinking: What am I trying to tell you, dear friend?

Maybe it is that charity is not only for
rich people who has overflowing wealth.
That it is possible for YOU to do
something selfless once in a while.

That maybe, just maybe, these little things are the very things
that you need to do for you to be genuinely happy.

Allow me to borrow some words of wisdom
from someone who's lived a life of loving.
Someone by the name of Mother Teresa.

"Let us not be satisfied with just giving money.
Money is not enough, money can be got,
but they need your hearts to love them.
So, spread your love everywhere you go."

"We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless.
The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty.
We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty."

"If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one."

"Spread love everywhere you go.
Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.

You can spread the love in your own way!
As an early Christmas thought, you can try these suggestions:

* Visit an orphanage and babysit the cute babies (click HERE).
* Join Lugaw Patrol (see pictures above) and
bond with the kids from Makati and Manila.

Feel free to comment / email / tweet me if you're interested.
Again, there's a hundred ways to let the world know you care.

Feed the hungry, Love the unlovable,
Invite a stranger, Accept the undeserving.
Why? It's because:

‘Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did it to Me.'
- JESUS, the reason we have CHRISTmas ☺
