SOME TIMELY TIPS ON [SALE] SHOPPING

Confessions of a Shopaholic (Google Images)

We all love shopping. Who doesn't?
Sale means we can get the same item for a lot less!
Sadly, this 4-letter words come out of hand when taken with
a concept of I-want-it-all attitude.
When I share these tips below, consider this as a for-us consumption.
Reason: I need to digest and execute these tips too! :)

Impulsive hoarding is not a way to go. Buying anything on sale just don't work. Experience tells us that if we buy the same item in red, blue, pink and brown color - chances are 80% of which will be stuck in your closet (or shoe rack) for that matter.

Easy on the plastics.
Read : Credit Cards. This is the heart and soul of Confessions of a Shopaholic movie. You need to be realistic even if items are on sale. Scraping a chunk of your savings just because LV is on sale, are you serious?!

Haste is waste. We are normally disillusioned to put everything on the cashier table and try them all at home but poof. You're not only a lady with a pretty face, you also have a common sense that goes with it (which is not so common these days, so they say). Why don't you try them first (if allowed)? Take a minute (or two) - to evaluate if the stuffs are worth buying.

There are 2 tips more. If I should pick the #1 most important tip,
that should be the last on the list!

♥ If the shoe does NOT fit, don't buy it. Know more about the piece (like an extra button coming of that jacket) - at the end of the day, business is business. Sale exists because stores need to sell their stocks - pronto!
Again, spend according to your means. This is a holy grail when it comes to smart shopping. There are lots of practical ways. For one, I have a friend who uses a debit card (it's as good as cash). Point is - you spend what you have. Or you'll go through the mayhem Rebecca Bloomwood (a shopping addict in Confessions of a Shopaholic) did.

Now that you have been armed with these street-smart tips,
betcha you can go through the sale alleys with a bang!
We still love sale events and we still believe that retail therapy is one heck of a miracle,

yet - I humbly think that while liquors are to be consumed moderately,
so we should shop in moderation too!
