MONEY MATTERS : HOW TO ACCESS BDO INVESTMENT (UITF) ONLINE?

Source: HERE
I've been amazed on how technology makes our lives easier! You want to book a flight? Possible. You want to buy a dress? Possible. Now, you want to check your investment portfolio? Possible! This computer age has changed our lives more than words can say. And while there are setbacks in this era, I'd like to focus on how we can use this to our advantage.

As young working class, we need to entertain the thought of investing for our future. We've seen one too many examples of people burning their savings then groping for a tiny money to get by. Well, if you want to look at investing in another light, you can think of it as saving up for that grand Europe trip (starry eyed)! Or whatever excites you.

Investing is simply making your money produce more money by itself. It has a fancy name, PASSIVE INCOME. One of the popular investments is Unit Investment Trust Fund or UITF. I've written a step by step guide on how to open one at your nearest BDO branch (click HERE).

Now that you've done a good job of making that initial investment, we of course want to KEEP TRACK! BDO Online Banking lets you do just that in 3 easy steps. HOW TO ACCESS BDO INVESTMENT (UITF) ONLINE?

Step #1: Redeem your UITF certificate. It's actually the last step on our initial investment process. The pleasant BDO representative will hand you over some sort of certificate with the number of units you acquired and the price per unit.

Step #2: Take note of your CMN. This is short for Client Master Number. You will have only one CMN per person (I believe) and if you've made additional investment, you won't have to set up this whole thing again.

Step #3: Log in to your BDO online account. I assume you have one. Go to Enrollment Services > Trust Account > Enroll. After that, you'll find this screen. You may now copy the details from your UITF certificate and click on submit.

That's it. After 24 hours, you'll receive an email saying your enrollment has been approved. Next time you log in to your BDO online account, you can see your savings balance and UITF balance to (along with your paper gains or loss). Hope this helps! -CMK

  1. I tried enrolling but there's a prompt that says invalid request. What did you type in the client name box?

  5. Hi Gerardo and Anonymous,

CMN ID is different from Account ID. On your UITF Certificate, CMN is located just beside the Account ID.. Series is something like: CMN-XXXXXXXXXX. Where X = numbers.

    Hope this helps :)

  7. Hi callmekristine, when did u open account with bdo uitf. I opened Jan 10, 2014 but no more CMN indicated. According to the branch where I opened the account, the head office has stopped generating CMN. I am facing the same problem now.

    1. Hello Anonymous,

I opened my account last year. I think August of 2013. I think it's best to keep in touch with BDO - I gather that they have CMN number for each trustor. Thanks!

  8. Hi Kristine,

I have an account in BDO and monitored my UITF investment. I saw the loss and gain on my investment. Is there any way that I add my investment using online without visiting to the bank or should I go there for the said transaction? Thank you.

    1. Good question, Jackie. The answer is No. You have to go and make a top-up to the bank, unfortunately. You're welcome :)
