BEAUTY BUZZ : TOP 3 PRODUCTS THAT I WILL KEEP ON BUYING OVER AND OVER

There you have it, my lengthy blog title for this year! HA! Couldn't think of a more suitable title but that one. Like best friends, there are some beauty products that I will forever be loyal to. These are 3 of those!

TOP 1: Olay Natural White Day Cream. For my detailed review, click HERE. Moisturizer. Girl's best friend. While the rest of the beauty world are going ecstatic over luxury brands that cost an arm and a leg (and another arm), I'd prefer to be loyal to my trusted brand. It works so well so why bother changing the norm? Each time I'm thinking about altering this beauty pot, I find myself handing down the new item gently, then going back to Olay booth and ask for that familiar friend. There's the proof to your left, a hit pan pot followed by a brand new miracle-worker!
TOP 2: Maybelline Fuchsia Fever Lipstick
For my detailed review, click HERE. This is another breakthrough. You ask why? Drum rolls please, this is the FIRST lipstick that I've used from top to bottom! Come clean girls, it takes us some minutes to buy lots of lip colors but it's quite rare for us to FINISH the whole tube! Aminin! :D I love this lip color so much that I dub it as my lip's soul mate everrr. Whether I'm attending an event, giving some talk, catching up with my girls, going on dates (this one's rare though) or just going somewhere - this Fuchsia arsenal is the BOMB! And hey, summer's here... Hot Pink's HOT again. Goodah!

TOP 3: Etude House Lip and Eye Makeup Remover
For my detailed review, click HERE. Inasmuch as we adore makeup, there is a proper time to get rid of them FAST. I got hold of a water based make up remover once but I realized that oil based ones work better for me. This holds true specially when you want to remove any residue from waterproof mascaras. Tip: If you'll visit Seoul, Korea anytime soon, HOARD these goodies. They are wayyyy cheaper in Korea.

Each product costs less than Php 400. It works like wonders. It's wallet-friendly. It's picture-worthy. Woman, what else will you look for? :D Have a fun day today! -CMK.

FINESSE CURL DEFINING MOUSSE REVIEW

One thing that holds back girls from getting a digi-perm treatment (click HERE) is the anticipation of their hair being high maintenance. Well, YES and NO. Yes - if the idea of being a high-maintenance would mean adding a few squirts every after bath. NO - if you envisioned Digi-permed hair = 1-hour blow dry + coating + treatment + etc. A ritual most normal girls can't afford. My hair has been digi-permed since 2010, and I'm loving it to bits! A one stop hair product can turn your lower curls from blah to va-va-voom. That's why Finesse takes the center stage today!

DETAILS:
Finesse Curl Defining Mousse
Price: Php 289 (Landmark) Php 299 (SM)
Weight: 198 grams

CMK HAPPY THOUGHTS:
☺Light weight. Since it's bubble-infused, you can't feel
anything after you apply the substance onto your hair.
☺Nozzle works. I've been traumatized on how
Shine moist failed most of my "I-only-have-5-mins-to-spare-moments".
Good thing Finesse didn't give me that hard time.
For my detailed review on Shine Moist Mousse, click HERE.
☺Smells nice. I have a penchant for good smelling beauty prods,
this one fits the bill.

CMK WISHFUL THOUGHTS:
☻Holding Time. Gawsh. It only holds my
curls for the first 3 hours, I think.
The rest of the day, my hair looks like, hmm,
I forgot to comb my crowning glory. Bummer.
☻Travel un-friendly. Make a mind note NOT to
include this arsenal in your hand carry baggage.
Otherwise, you have to voluntary put
it on the airport's big trash can.
☻Price. Considering that you have to re-apply within the day,
I don't think it's sulit.

CMK THINKS:
Personally, this is perfect on summer.
Hard wax on curls is sorta high maintenance on the beach.
With this, you can just spritz some and there you go.
Plus - you don't have to worry even if your curls will turn on a saggy-mode,
JUST BECAUSE, it's summer baby! Relax a bit!

Just in case you're wondering what on earth is my picture up above doing on this blog review, that's my hair 1 hour after applying this product. Pic was taken on a cool coffee shop in Bangkok. After 3 hours, this is how it looks like. Side Note: I met Ms. Kara David (famous Philippine Journalist) on our Bangkok Trip! #Surreal You don't believe moi? Exhibit A below! -CMK

FASHION ALERT : FLORAL PANTS

As Manila temperature rises, I'm hearing a lot of remarks such as: "Summer na!" I couldn't agree less. Specially when you're out of your air conditioned room on a high noon time. Summer heat is making waves! Hello-from-Sunny-Manila will be literal sooner or later! Regardless, don't blow your cool bella, remember that summer is just the PERFECT time to show some skin, colors and crazy prints. Spotlight for today screams FLORAL! Having a bias for classic pegs, I'd say I'm going out of my comfort zone each time I sport this look.

TIPS!
♣ Loud pants means hush-neutral tops! Stick to earth tones,
famous partner will always be the good old blank tank top.
♣ Wedge your way to the top! Since your bottom appears bulky
(creating a shorter-leg illusion), wear heels to add height and form.
♣ As edgy as it may seem, this can be worn on your shopping days,
or school (if the guards will let you pass this time with your summer alibi hehe).

DETAILS
Blouse from NY Square
Floral Pants from NY Square
Watch from Tomato
Platform Wedge from Mario D' Boro

And of course, there's our fashion inspiration cheat sheet.
Lovely 4 celebrities. Common girls, put some 'coolness' this summer! -CMK

MONEY MATTERS : 5 BEGINNER'S TIPS (WHEN INVESTING IN STOCK MARKET)

Try not to mind paper gains and losses.
It's all in the paper (translated, not real, yet)

TRY being the operative word! A paper gain or loss is the increase or decrease in value of an asset, e.g., a stock or other investment. It's called a "paper" gain because it appears as profit or loss on paper, i.e., on a statement (even if the statement is on a computer screen), but it is not a real gain or loss until the asset is sold. (Source).

I guess majority of beginners (me, counted) will initially develop a habit of checking if their portfolio (pinagsama-samang stocks) did well for the day. It kinda brightens my day on some and ruins my day on other. HA! This is the CORE reason WHY you need to invest on a company that you believe in. Do you honestly believe that SM will close down next week? If not - never mind the paper loss today and focus on more productive tasks at hand.

Timing.
"The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.”

This tip is not a sure-fire tip. All I can say is that I've learned it by experience. Very simple:
Buy stocks after lunch, sell them before lunch. I don't know if it's generally proven, but heck! I've bought shares of stocks at around 10 am-ish (price per share is Php113), I checked the rate after lunch and to my surprise, price went down to Php110. ACK! Makes a lot of difference if you're buying significant number of shares. I should've waited! This leads me on my 3rd tip.

Patience.
“Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting. That is laziness.
But to keep going when the going is hard and slow - that is patience.”

Case in point: Stock gain of your friend is not (automatically) your gain too. Remember she bought it when the price was low, and now its current value is high. If you're buying shares of stocks now, 2 possible things may happen. It's either the stock price will go up (or down). That simple.

Patience means telling yourself not to expect 1 million pesos tomorrow. Just develop a habit of investing any amount within your comfort zone. And do this every month. Easier said than done? IKR! (as in I Know Right?!). Then again, please take a look at our patience quote above one more time.

Budget
We're all in the marshmallow testing room everyday

Remember the marshmallow test? Where a kid will sit in front of a big, yummy marshmallow? Teacher leaves the student after the instruction: if he waits until the teacher comes back, he'll have 2 marshmallows. If he eats the marshmallow, then no more 2nd marshmallow. Studies show that kids who waited on the "teacher's comeback" succeeded in life compared to the ones who ate the marshmallow as soon as the teacher left. In so many words, we can sum it up into two: DELAYING GRATIFICATION.

Set apart a portion of your monthly income to fund your investment. Emphasis on the word: PORTION. We don't mean save everything, just a portion. 20% is safe some says. Make it a ritual to invest 20% of your income each payday. Either that or spend it all. Will you wait for your 2nd marshmallow?

SCRIBBLED NOTES #7: WHOSE HANDS CAN YOU TRUST?

Everyone wants a sunshiny day! But there are days that are everything except sunshiny. Days when as much as you want to perk and cheer yourself up, you'll find something to be sighing about. I had one of those days recently. Always the type of person who doesn't want to divulge details, I just had a conversation with the Lord, more of, asking Him (yes the audacity of me!). Me says: Lord, why dangle a candy in front of me when You didn't intend to give it to me in the first place?

Thankfully, the land didn't swallow me up and fire didn't come down from heaven to barbeque me. About the audacity issue, I personally believe that God knows me so well. And not only that, He can handle my tantrum moments gracefully. Going back, there are specific areas in my life where I don't get it. I mean not 80%, 70% not even 10% of God's plan is. I am in an absolute clueless mode. I can guess, sure, but there's not even a hint of what tomorrow will bring.

When I am about to start my devotion, I read this verse:

Wouch! (Wow plus Ouch) 10 words. One verse is all that it took to appease my anxiety. Lord, where would I be without your Words?! I read the verse over and over again until it hits the bottom of my soul. Then like a child crawling on her father's lap, I prayed thanking God for all the things He has done and for all the things that He's going to do (I'm excited!) -CMK.

Have you ever felt the same way?
If yes, let's sing along with David when He declared:

MONEY MATTERS : SAVING VS. INVESTING

To Save or To Invest? That is the question!

It was May 2008 when the thought hit me:
"I've been working for the past years but it seems that
I'm in no way richer than before! Parang walang bakas!"
I self-talked. This question moved me so much that I
can't stop thinking about it not until I do something.
And so there goes the story WHY I opened my personal savings account.

We've already talked about the 3 good reasons
on why we should save (click HERE).
Now, let's UP talk one notch higher - which is better:
To Save or To Invest? For someone who's new to this
(and loves fashion better than talking about all these things)
it would be best to differentiate in simple terms what's one from the other.

On the blue corner: TO SAVE
Simply put: Keep your money for future use

♣ Set your money apart. Literally. Either on a piggy bank, a bamboo container or a different wallet. You won't be touching that money with the exact serial numbers, stat! ♣ Open a savings bank account. Title is a big give away. You're still saving, only difference is your money stays in the bank for a while. Though you have the option to withdraw it anytime. ♣ Open a time deposit. Still with a bank but generally, you cannot  withdraw your money over a fixed period of time. Interest is a wee bit higher than interests from banks.

On the red corner: TO INVEST
Simply put: 'Grow' your money for future use

♣ Sell your time. Or talent. Or creativity. In short, you work for a company or a person. And get paid for doing it. ♣ Sell goods. Be an entrepreneur. Can be franchising, buy-and-sell, online or bazaar business, this may seem a bit challenging at first, but if you hit all the right corners (like timing, target market, etc.), the money that you invest will yield much higher returns. ♣ Sell your money. Say what?! Yes. And I mean buy a portion of a big company's shares and enjoy a portion of that big company's return in the future. Is it at all possible?! Yes again. By investing (NOT TRADING) in stock market.

MAJOLICA MAJORCA LASH KING REVIEW

Majolica Majorca in Black
First stop, I have a confession to make. I'm not a mascara person. Truth be told, this is my first mascara purchase in my entire life! All of my mascaras are either sponsored or gift items. Hence, this specific goodie on the left hand corner has an interesting story behind it!

Me and my good friend Maya were walking around the beauty section of SM Makati when we noticed it was unusually crowded this side of the mall. Lo and behold, we saw a glimpse of Laureen Uy and Camille Co. Both are equally beautiful and nice! No wonder girls, young and not-so-young alike, have swamped the area.

Going back, I told Maya that I'll go to the rest room first then we'll meet at Watsons. When I stepped out of the escalator, some girls 'kidnapped' me and next thing I know, I was in front of the big mirror with black and gold trimmings that reads some kind of a magic chant: Ma-jo-li-ca Ma-jor-ca (Majolica Majorca), like a kindergarten I read in my mind. Fast forward >>> I just had my first purchased mascara after Camille Co's sweet prodding. How can I say no? :-)

Ambushed by Camille Co
DETAILS:
What: Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara
Color: Black, Purchased at: SM Makati
Price: Original Price is Php 795.00, bought at Php 499.00
Fast fact: Majolica Majorca is a sister brand of Shiseido

CMK HAPPY THOUGHTS:
☺Made in Japan. You know how meticulous Japanese cosmetics are.
This one is no exception. No unusual smell and quality-wise it's A+.
☺ Exquisite packaging. Like Korean beauty products, Japanese products are
particular in terms of packaging. Not only in makeups, have you opened
Lotte biscuit or Macadamia Nuts lately?
☺Easy on the eyes. For a bionic pair of eyes like mine, I'm very careful
what to put unto them. Kidding, no bionic eyes, just underegone a
LASIK treatment, from a Japanese aesthetic company too!
Intra-lasik by Shinagawa. Click HERE.
☺Waterproof. Another bang for your buck. *Wink!

Disclaimer: In the interest of testing the product thoroughly:
Eyeliner? None, Eyelash curler? None Eyeshadow? None
Does it deliver? For me, it's a YES!
For someone who has sparse lashes, difference is noticeable.

CMK WISHFUL THOUGHTS:
☻Price. I understand that Japanese products are top of the line,
however, price factor is definitely a something to be considered.
☻Removing them is a challenge. Talk about staying power! Best to use
oil-based makeup removers as opposed to water based ones.

CMK THINKS:
I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and bought this neat product.
If I'll repurchase or not, still undecided. Let's see.
For now, I'm still enjoying twinkling my eye up and down.
So Betty Boop-ish! -CMK

CMK EATS : CHOCOLAT, SM MALL OF ASIA

If there's one dessert place that I go back into once in a while since 2009, that would be Chocolat! I still can remember my family's reaction when we first took a sumptuous bite of their cakes! Think: Eyes wide opened, mouth as if saying Oh! Fork, coming back to the yummy cake slice, by default.

Our favorites include Death by Tablea, Blueberry Cheesecake and my personal favorite, Tablea Cheesecake. Slurp!

Their shop has a vintage feel. Though I noticed their magazines were so outdated. Place is not crowded usually hence, a perfect place to have a hearty talk with your loved ones. Also, I think their coffees are not that good. It is sorta bland if you'll ask me. Haven't tried their tablea (hot chocolate) but it looks appealing.

DETAILS:
Chocolat at SM Mall of Asia
Price range is around Php 80 - 125 per slice
Best Seller: Death by Tablea

CMK HAPPY THOUGHTS:
Price. It's reasonable compared to its competitors. Slice of cake is just right
and if you don't have a sweet tooth, one slice can be shared.
Water by default. Nice to know that there's a pitcher of house
water to gulp in case it gets to sweet and sticky.
Place. I have an inclination for vintage-y and old places.
Furniture are equally comfortable.

Tablea Cheesecake *drool*

  CMK WISHFUL THOUGHTS:
☻Cakes are generally too sweet. I have a sweet tooth but
I'm having a hard time finishing a whole slice of their cake.
Cakes being ultra sweet will be apparent after 2-3 bites.
Magazines update! It's such a turn off when you have a 2-year old
magazine sitting on a dessert place rack. Back issues are being sold
after 6-months for Php 50-70 pesos, might be a nice improvement :)

MY FAVORITE THINGS : WEEK #7

This week has been:
Busy slash emotional. Typical yet faith strengthening. Went back little by little to my early morning exercise routine. Accomplished my visit with the doctor (for my yearly checkup) thankfully, all is well. Met one of my friends and managed to accompany her in  her shopping. Proud that I didn't spend a single peso. Come Sunday, errr - yes, I did a wee bit of shopping myself. Coming clean! Weird as it may sound, I'm energized and excited to go back to work!

Loving this bandage skirt from Bayo. Don't judge me! It's only Php 445.
Way cheaper than more than a thousand buck in Promod Greenbelt 5.

Oh! Summer dresses! Flip flops + Neon Yellow Dress = Sunshiny Moi

Interesting read! What's more interesting? The price dude. Wild guess?
Wrong! It's only Php 95.00 no zero omitted. Yes it's less than a hundred.
But the texts in its 268 pages? I'd say priceless. Currently reading.

It's always an honor to get invited to talk.
Excited to see the young ones this May 2013.

Been raving about Big Chill's Super Charger Smoothie for 2 weeks now.
Word of caution though, it has an algae (lumot) component hence the green color.
Of course it's the healthy and edible kind of algae :-)

Let me leave you with this:
I wish you a good week everyone! -CMK

MONEY MATTERS : 3 GOOD REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD SAVE

Time and again, we've been told about the story of the ant. On how come they have no leaders and have poor eyesight yet they are 'classics' in terms of saving. I guess creatures like them exist to teach us humans some good values. ☺Saving, like Algebra or History class, is not that appealing specially to young ones like us. It's like, you can't take any good thing from it and it's being kill joy and it's contrary to YOLO (You Only Live Once) emerging motto.

I was one of those people who just shrug when someone talks about saving money. And I won't blame you if you'll turn away from this blog post. Yet, to those of you who are curious, indulge yourself:

Reason #1: Emergency Fund
Simply Put: There's an immediate need,
and you have to have money, as in NOW.

Most compelling reason why you SHOULD save. Knock on wood but ask yourself: If someone close to me need to pay Php 100,000 for a brain transplant this very moment, do I have something to give or I'll be hospitalized too upon hearing the news? This is a weird example, but replace brain transplant with tuition fees, mortgage fees, down payment for house and lot, etc.

Reason #2: Inflation
Simply Put: Price of a burger meal today
will be different 10 years from now.

And that's 99% sure! Remember when you're a kid - your happy meal costs less than Php 100. Have you checked how much this costs now? Another classic example: Jeep Fare. Mom recalls that during her elementary days, jeep fares cost in about less than Php 0.50 and hello to the Php 8.00 minimum fare we have today!! Inflation may be a new term but we've experienced this long before. Studies show that average inflation per  year is 7%. Meaning, if you want to maintain your lifestyle, you should be richer by 7% each year! All the more you need not only to save (keep your money) but to invest (make your money grow).

Reason #3: You have goals
Simply Put: 5 years from now, I want to travel + shop
+ treat my loved ones + finish my masters degree... and the list goes on..

To travel or to shop or basically to live your dream life is a goal. However, I heard someone says that A GOAL WITHOUT ANY ACTION ITEM IS JUST A GOOD IDEA. You want those things? Sure. Well, what are you doing to achieve those goals? Remember the things you do today will definitely move you closer (or farther) from that dream. This can be the shallowest reason why you should save but it's the most inspiring too!

It's nice to remind ourselves why we need to save. Saving is not only for rich people. Saving is for everyone. And the earlier we fatten our piggy bank accounts, the better.

PS: Saving is nice but investing is better. Till next blog post on Money Matters! -CMK

FASHION ALERT : THAT WHITE BLAZER

Time flies so fast. Months away and vacation (for students) are at hand.
This leads me to the million dollar question: Which is better,
a student life or an after-college life?
Well, each of them has pros and cons. But I'm definitely
enjoying my career life better! ☺

Fashion Alert entry for today is not really a new-comer.
It's more of a fashion classic. With a twist.
White Blazer with Black Piping is the next big thing this season.

DETAILS:
White Blazer with Black Piping from Tomato
Little Black Dress (LBD) from The Landmark
Wedges from Celine

THOUGHTS:
♣ Seize the cold breeze of February.
This piece can work its way from day till night.
♣ Remember the rule: Long lengths on top means
short length on the bottom. And vice versa.
♣ Try to stick with earth tones so as not to overdo the getup.

FASHION INSPIRATIONS:
We've got two! First stop is a 4-part showcasing different cuts
and styles for that white blazer of yours. Notice that as the blazer is
a bit bulky, the models' pants are all skimpy and leggings-like.

FASHION ALERT : BLUE FOR THE SUMMER

My sunshiny kind of Blue!

In case this place looks familiar, it's The Enterprise Center in Makati.
I've visited Shinagawa Laser Clinic for my annual check-up.
It's almost a year when I've undergone a LASIK eye surgery (click HERE).
God has been so good to once again give me a 20/20 vision.
Without the hassle of lenses or glasses, I can swim, eat, and yes
put my face in front of the air con without worrying about dried peepers.

Summer is peeking - with the shoot up of the recent days' temperature,
I bet you'll agree with me. And so - time to resurrect our summer dresses!

KUNG HEI FAT CHOI : CHINA TOWN, BINONDO FOOD TRIP

Our barkada has been continuing this mini-tradition of going around Binondo Manila in time for Chinese New Year. What's the best pair of our never-ending laughter and chickahan? Food Trip of course! We have scoured this adventurous side of Manila for a gastronomical treat. Following are 7 food spots that our feet (and tummy) have visited. Prepare your Google guys, I bet you'll be searching for these places in no time soon.

Sincerity Chicken
Food Stop #1: Sincerity Chicken
497 Nueva St. Binondo, Manila

Place is famous for their chicken. Looks can be deceiving, what appears as an ordinary fried chicken on the outside may mean a flavorful treat on the inside. I only eat 2 parts of chicken, leg and thigh part. I am never a fan of breast part. I chew those words when we went here. I ate the breast, wing, leg all parts! Except the butt. Heheh.

Authentic Lumpiang Sariwa
Food Stop #2: New Po-Heng Lumpia House
Uy Su Bin Building along Quintin Paredes Street

After 'inhaling' a fair share of cholesterol, we had our healthier fix in New Po-Heng Lumpia house. If there's a literal hole-in-the-wall place, I think this is it. I can't believe my eyes that there's a restaurant inside. Okay, more like a carinderia. But hey, that's what fun about food trip di ba? As long as the food are delicious - all else will be irrelevant. We ordered their classic lumpia, I'd say it's not really that special, but authentic factor-wise, it's 2 thumbs up. From their wrapper (super thick by the way) to the veggies and sauce, it's really a home-grown dish.

Chinese Goodies All Year Round!

Food Stop #3: Eng Bee Tin
628 Ongpin St. Binondo, Manila Philippines

No detailed introduction required! I still remember when I was a bouncing little girl (hmm, well up to now I'm still bouncing naman haha!) - Lolo used to buy me tikoy and loa (peanut rolls) from here. Packaging and place may be different but it's one of my childhood memories indeed. I love how they innovate their products. They now have mochipia (mochi + hopia), they have different tikoy rolls (current fave) and a whole lot more! Price is relatively reasonable. And expect to see many, many branches. Bawat kanto yata ☺

Tasty Goodies
Food Stop #4: Tasty Dumplings Binondo
620 Ongpin St Binondo, Manila

Among all the food stops, this is my TOP PICK! I can't get enough of their hong-ma (it's the marinated pork soaked with yummy sauce at the top). Best paired with bread. They also have this hearty soup with pork chop. It may not sound swak but they are! ☺By this time our tummies are nearing full tank. Here's an interesting conversation:

Ryan: So, siguro naman makaka order na tayo ng tubig dito?!
Background: we haven't gulped any water since Food Stop #1.
Tawa kami ng tawa!

JORDANA LIPSTICK SCARLET RED REVIEW

Valentines Day is just around the corner. Some call it single awareness day too! Some have Serendipity as their movie theme, while others have 500 days of Summer! Whatever side you're in, I wish you well and may you enjoy the season. You don't have to be a hopeless romantic or a V-day Scrooge either. Just ride the tide, live and enjoy the moment :)

Today's product is somewhat related to the love month, since it's screaming RED! Scarlet Red! I've mentioned this before, red is not my color. Pink is. I sorta envy people who look gorgeous on red. But oh, like love it's different strokes for different folks. What's interesting though is while I don't wear red lipsticks regularly, I enjoyed creating this post.

Maybe because it's different from usual. And maybe they're right - red is the color of love. ♥ Got this package from January Saladbox. Hey, I just realized their mantra for this month: New Year, Better You. Nice!

DETAILS:
Jordana Lipstick. 3.4 grams. Php 300 each.
Some few intros from Jordana Cosmetics SITE
• Full Coverage, Dazzling Color
• Rich & Creamy Texture
• Lightweight, Smooth-Glide Application
• Soft Shine Finish
• Made In USA

CMK HAPPY THOUGHTS:
☺ Matte and pigmented.
Few swipes will definitely keep you covered.
☺ Colors! Colors! Colors!
Click on the site link above and you'll
see how diverse their color lines are.
☺ Cost-efficient. Pigmented lipsticks mean less swipes.
Less swipes mean lippy's shelf life can be longer.

CMK WISHFUL THOUGHTS:
☻ Sorta difficult to remove. As an aftermath of it
being pigmented, few more drops of make-up remover is
required to thoroughly rid yourself of its residue.
☻Packaging. I'm being extra careful when putting
back the lid on the tube. It feels like I can break the
whole lipstick any time :).

CMK THINKS:
I'm so thinking if I'll buy the HOT PINK shade.
To the bellas on the look out for hidden
beauty gems, this is a good start.
