SCRIBBLED NOTES #4: MY ALMOST-LOST CREDIT CARD AND SOME REALIZATIONS

Monday. First day of the class week. To add, first Monday for the Year 2013. I usually have classes every MTh and my favorite go-to place is the nearby mall. Few walks away from the university. I ordered my ever favorite Pad Thai since I'm one with the #BalikAlindog project (simply put, I'm trying to remove those unwanted flabs!) - rice is banned for a time being.

Fast forward >>> I'm done paying my bill via credit card and fixed my bag. I saw that may credit card was inside the black pocket restos  usually serve, and so I made a mind-note that I need to get it and put the CC in my wallet.

Next, I strolled along the mall and looked for the Beauty Bar. I was about to buy a primer (Had Palladio in mind) - but verified the price was a whopping Php 685 for 20 ml! Err... I think I'm not ready for that yet. And so I walked, and walked and made a stop at the Mango Shop! Oooh! They are on SALE. Clap!

I walked in self-talking not to buy. I have goals! I mused. And well, the items are not really my type so I was confident that I'll pass up. Then on the left corner of the store, I found a nicely done skirt with the magic color: KHAKI!

Light bulb moment! I need a khaki skirt. Dress code for some important affair.  And the price was reduced 4x! So to cut the chase, I bought the lovely Mango Suit skirt. Smiling on the cashier - I pulled out my shiny red wallet like so:

Rewind <<<< I'm done paying my bill via credit card and fixed my bag. I saw that may credit card was inside the black pocket restos  usually serve, and so I made a mind-note that I need to get it and put the CC in my wallet. Only - I did. NOT!!! I forgot my credit card in Soi Restaurant!

THE LOOK ON MY FACE

My friends will attest how sloooow my usual walk is. But this instance. I walked fast. (Okay, maybe fast in my context). But I rushed my way to Soi, looked for the familiar face and when the waitress saw me - I knew it! Goldie (my credit card's name) was there! Reunited at last! After that adrenaline rush, I was now walking towards my next class, so much happened that it took me a while to process it.

But come to think of it: Maybe God allowed me to buy something because if not, I'll be going home without my credit card...... Maybe God allowed the last 3 digits of my card to be virtually un-readable because He sees this instance coming...... Maybe God allowed me to remember that Khaki dress code and stroll the mall some more instead of heading back early.

Maybe? Personally, I don't see this as a random event. What I'm sure of is that God is loving, He's not someone from the past (He's so here) and He's in the details. In a nutshell: I ate. I lost goldie. We're re-united again. Plus I now have a best-buy Khaki skirt from Mango. My final words for this post is:

Miracles happen everyday.
We just need to see more. And feel more!
 Hugs and Kisses. -CMK.
